A spacious and comfortable corner view beach holiday cottage on one level within 100 metres of a safe, sandy beach in the unspoilt Northumbrian fishing village of Boulmer, which is just down the road from Alnwick: home of Alnwick Castle and Alwick Gardens.
The seaside towns of Bamburgh, Newton-by-the-Sea, Alnmouth and Warkworth are a short drive away along the coast.
All front rooms of the holiday cottage face the sea. See Photos. The coastal footpath between Beadnell and Alnmouth, and the Coast & Castles cycle route pass in front of this Northumbrian cottage giving easy access to this stretch of beautiful coastline- a great part of the country to explore.

Boulmer is a traditional Northumbrian fishing village in the heart of the Heritage Coast. Previously infamous as a haven for smugglers, Boulmer now attracts a friendly mix of locals and holidaymakers searching for fresh sea air. Close to Craster which is famous for its oak smoked kippers and fishing harbour, as well as the castles at Warkworth, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh and Holy Island and just down the road is Alnmouth with its shops, pubs, restaurants and golf courses. There is plenty of fishing to be had on the Coquet and Aln as well as sea fishing from Craster and Amble. The coastal path is a 2 minute walk away and the "FBI" or Fishermanīs Boat Inn, is a short stroll away- this is a popular pub thanks to its excellent pub grub.
Donīt mispronounce Alnwick when you are visiting! Itīs equivalent to saying "Edin-Berg" for Edinburgh. The locals pronounce "Alnwick" anick, alnick or annick. The l and w are silent.
